Caffeine Pouches & Energy Pouches
What caffeine pouches are
Caffeine pouches, also sold as energy pouches, take the slim under-lip format of a nicotine pouch and swap the active ingredient. Each pouch releases caffeine and flavour instead of nicotine, and there is no tobacco in the can either. No cup, no can of energy drink, no smell, which is why the format has found a following among drivers, shift workers, gym-goers and anyone who wants a lift without another coffee break.
Because they contain no tobacco and no nicotine, caffeine pouches are generally treated as foods rather than tobacco products in the EU, though rules for this new category are still being worked out in some countries. Every product in this collection is a nicotine-free caffeine pouch in slim format. If you want the pouch ritual with nothing active in it at all, plain flavour pouches sit in our wider nicotine-free collection.
The caffeine pouch ranges we stock
Denssi Energy is the caffeine line from Denssi, a Nordic pouch brand produced in Estonia, and the widest of our three caffeine ranges. It comes in five flavours: Viking Energy, Berry Beast, Chaos Cola, Southern Boost and Tropical Fury. All five are slim, nicotine-free and tobacco-free, with a caffeine lift that builds steadily rather than spiking. The full brand, nicotine pouches included, is in the Denssi collection.
Lewa Energy is the slim, nicotine-free caffeine line from Lewa, a small Swedish range with distinctly Nordic flavour ideas. It has two sides: Lewa Energy Glow Strawberry Vanilla, the softer, dessert-leaning member of the line, made for afternoons that need a nudge rather than a push, and the sharper Lewa Energy Power pair, Wintermint and Apple Spruce. The rest of the brand is in the Lewa collection.
RAVE Energy is the caffeine version of RAVE, the Polish tobacco-free brand known for loud cans and dessert-and-cocktail flavours. It runs in two tiers, with the caffeine figure in the product name: RAVE Energy La Passion Fruit 80mg, and a firmer 100 mg line of Mint Man, Watermelon Ice, Bubble Gun, Grapper and Strawberry Shake.
Flavours
Across the three ranges the flavours fall into five directions:
- Energy drink: Denssi Energy Viking Energy, the sweet-tart, slightly fizzy profile of the classic can.
- Cola and spice: Denssi Energy Chaos Cola, fountain cola with caramel sweetness and a faint citrus-spice edge, and Southern Boost, warm vanilla and cinnamon notes rather than chilli heat.
- Fruit and berry: Denssi Energy Berry Beast, a blackcurrant-dark mixed berry; Tropical Fury, mango and passionfruit; RAVE La Passion Fruit, Watermelon Ice and Grapper, a grape soda; and Lewa Apple Spruce, green apple with the forest note of spruce shoots.
- Mint: Lewa Energy Power Wintermint, crisp and slightly sweet, and RAVE Mint Man, cool and tidy.
- Dessert and candy: Lewa Energy Glow Strawberry Vanilla, closer to a smoothie than a candy, RAVE Strawberry Shake and RAVE Bubble Gun.
How much caffeine, and how to use them
There is no standard amount of caffeine in a pouch. RAVE Energy puts the figure in the product name: 80 mg or 100 mg, depending on the product. For Denssi Energy and Lewa Energy, read the caffeine declaration on the can before you use one. Under the EU food information regulation, Regulation (EU) 1169/2011, a food with caffeine added for its stimulant effect must state its caffeine content and carry the warning "Contains caffeine. Not recommended for children or pregnant women."
The reference point is the European Food Safety Authority. In its 2015 scientific opinion, EFSA found no safety concern for healthy adults from habitual caffeine intake of up to 400 mg a day, or from single doses of up to 200 mg. A caffeine pouch counts toward that total exactly like a coffee does, so add its milligrams to whatever else you drink that day. Two 100 mg pouches within a couple of hours reach the single-dose figure on their own.
New to them? Start with one pouch, in the morning rather than at night. Place it between your upper lip and gum for 20 to 40 minutes and take it out when the flavour fades. Do not stack a second pouch because the first felt mild: the release is gradual, so the caffeine is still arriving. Caffeine's half-life in a healthy adult is around five hours, so a late pouch can still be working at bedtime.
Who should skip them
PouchSpot sells caffeine pouches to adults aged 18 and over only, behind the same age check as our nicotine range. No EU market we know of sets a legal minimum age for caffeine pouches, so the 18+ limit is our own rule. EFSA could set no firm limit for children and adolescents and treated 3 mg per kilogram of body weight as the level of no concern. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should keep to 200 mg a day from all sources.
Anyone with a heart condition, high blood pressure, an anxiety disorder or a caffeine sensitivity should talk to a doctor first, and anyone on medication should check for interactions. Going past EFSA's figures brings the familiar caffeine side effects: restlessness, a racing heart, anxiety, an upset stomach and poor sleep. None of this is medical advice.

Frequently asked
What are caffeine pouches?
Caffeine pouches, also sold as energy pouches, are slim pouches placed under the upper lip that release caffeine instead of nicotine. They contain no tobacco and no nicotine. You use one the same way as a nicotine pouch: under the lip for 20 to 40 minutes, then into the bin.
Do caffeine pouches contain nicotine?
The caffeine pouches in this collection contain no nicotine and no tobacco. Check the label on anything else, because a few nicotine pouches use energy-drink flavour names or the word Energy in the product name without being caffeine products.
How much caffeine is in a caffeine pouch?
It depends on the product, because there is no standard amount. RAVE Energy states it in the product name, 80 mg or 100 mg depending on the line. For Denssi Energy and Lewa Energy, read the caffeine declaration on the can: EU labelling rules require foods with added caffeine to state their caffeine content.
Are caffeine pouches safe?
We cannot promise that for any individual, but the regulator's framework is clear. EFSA's 2015 opinion found no safety concern for healthy adults at up to 400 mg of caffeine a day, or 200 mg in a single dose, and a caffeine pouch counts toward that total exactly like coffee. They are not for children, and pregnant or breastfeeding women should stay under 200 mg a day from all sources. None of this is medical advice.
What is the difference between caffeine pouches and energy pouches?
Nothing. Energy pouches is the marketing name, caffeine pouches is the descriptive one, and both refer to the same nicotine-free, caffeine-based product.
Can I use caffeine pouches instead of nicotine pouches?
You can keep the ritual with them, but caffeine is not a substitute for nicotine in your body and will not stop nicotine cravings. What it does is keep a familiar habit going without nicotine.
Who can buy caffeine pouches from PouchSpot?
Adults aged 18 and over only. That age limit is our own rule, applied behind the same age check as our nicotine range, because no EU market we know of sets a legal minimum age for caffeine pouches.
Which caffeine pouch brands does PouchSpot carry?
We carry Denssi Energy, Lewa Energy and RAVE Energy, all nicotine-free and tobacco-free in slim format. Availability is shown on each product.
